i watched Lord of the Flies.
i watched handsome 11-year-olds smear blood on their faces, steal from each other, get whipped for insubordination, kill their own friends and hunt to kill them.
& i wonder, if this is what would truly happen if one were to get stranded on the island, governed by the rules of the survival of the fittest?
& the army officer's response, as his expression gradually changed from one of amusement to one of shock/fear/amazement as it dawned on him that they were not playing, that they really have degenerated into animals in anarchy, was mine as well.
besides that i had a good weekend (:
